Selvin Albarado, Anar Trucking Incorporated
 Selvin began his career in home delivery fourteen years ago. After an eight year apprenticeship as an assistant for another subhauler, he formed his own business, Anar Trucking Incorporated. Since then Selvin has steadily expanded his company and now operates four trucks daily.
Albarado began hauling for Delivery Solutions in September of 2009, handling multiple routes for the Living Spaces account based in La Mirada. His delivery area is expansive, including Los Angeles & Orange Counties, and ranging as far south as San Diego.
According to DSI Account Manager Karen Bustamante, “Out of the fourteen trucks that deliver for Living Spaces, Selvin is one of the best sub-haulers to work with. He is always smiling, makes everyone laugh, and is very well-liked by the customers.” This might explain why some customers have invited him to stay for breakfast, or at least take a break so they can spend some time visiting with him!
Living Spaces, which advertises that buyers can have items purchased and delivered the same day, is a successful and dynamic operation with a strong philosophy of customer service. Albarado is unfazed by the high expectations. “I like it this way,” he says, “however, sometimes it’s not easy to find enough employees for my trucks who share this philosophy.”
He also appreciates the relationship he has with Delivery Solutions. “Everyone is helpful, available to answer questions, and supports both me and all of my drivers and assistants. DSI’s focus on effective communications and working together like a family matches my own,” he adds.
To maintain the success and growth of Anar Trucking, Albarado plans his routes so they are the most efficient in terms of conserving fuel, while at the same time remaining on schedule. “This can be a challenge,” he says. To help him meet his goals, he utilizes GPS along with other new communications technology.
Originally from Honduras, Albarado enjoys time with his family when not working in his business. Selvin is married with two children, and simple activities like taking a ride or just staying home and playing in the backyard with his family are a welcome respite from his busy schedule. |
