From Dave's Desk...
On behalf of all our employees and contractors, I’d like to take this opportunity to formally welcome
our newest client, Howard’s Appliance & Flat Screen
Superstores. Delivery Solutions began delivering for
Howard’s in October, after a long courtship. Howard’s was
one of the first companies I contacted after forming DSI in
1997.
Their founder, Howard Roach,
began the company as a TV Repair
operation in 1946. They eventually
opened stores to sell televisions
and appliances, and now have eight
locations throughout Southern
California. Their unique “employeeowned”
structure encourages a strong
commitment to customer satisfaction. Their success is based
on a philosophy of getting the customer “the right product at
the right price.”
The operational transition went smoothly, primarily
due to the joint efforts of Howard’s and Delivery Solutions’
management. In particular, President Judy Lawrence and
Retail General Manager Ray Bowman of Howard’s were very
supportive during the transition process. The DSI team
was led by Group Director Dick Connole, Insurance/Safety
Manager Mark Russell, and Account Executive Elia Arias,
who helped tremendously with the project. Thanks to all
for doing “Whatever It Takes” to ensure a successful start-up.
