DSI and EasyLife food line

I was privileged recently to spend a wonderful day in the Sacramento area with our management team supporting Sleep Train’s “Ticket to Dream” foundation. In the three years since their organization revived its annual golf tournament fundraiser, they have donated over $300,000 to many charity organizations.

Most recently, their focus has been on various foster youth programs. This year’s recipients include Guardian Scholars, a Sacramento program assisting former foster youth with college guidance and expenses, and San Diego’s Opportunity Passport, which offers transition assistance for foster youth entering adulthood.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County & Delivery Solutions Mark Ten Year Association

This year Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Ventura County and DSI celebrate ten years of a shared commitment to make a difference in the life a child. “DSI has been instrumental in helping us raise over a million dollars,” says Terri Felix, BBBS Chief Development Officer.

DSI President and CEO Dave Thompson, who co-chairs the BBBS fund raising golf event, “has helped raise the visibility of the tournament, brought in sponsors and golfers, and contributed new ideas for enhancement of our tournament,” she says. The annual event is the largest fund-raiser for the BBBSVentura County organization.
