From Dave's Desk...
I was privileged recently to spend a wonderful day in the
Sacramento area with our management team supporting Sleep
Train’s “Ticket to Dream” foundation. In the three years
since their organization revived its annual golf tournament
fundraiser, they have donated over $300,000 to many charity
organizations.
Most recently, their focus has been on
various foster youth programs. This
year’s recipients include Guardian
Scholars, a Sacramento program
assisting former foster youth with
college guidance and expenses, and San
Diego’s Opportunity Passport, which
offers transition assistance for foster
youth entering adulthood.
It was great to see the dining room filled with Sleep Train
associates, vendors, charity representatives & business partners.
This event is a prime example of how our industry remains
committed to serving those in need, even in this very difficult
and challenging economic climate. It was a truly rewarding
experience.
Our entire organization is appreciative of our long-term
relationship with The Sleep Train, and we are honored to work with
their team to serve our communities and consumers alike. We
remain committed to partnering with all our clients and industry
contacts in support of those less fortunate in our society, and
consider it a blessing to do so.
