Cordetina Jones, Delivery Supervisor at Mattress Discounters

Jones, or “Tina” as she’s known by her colleagues,
is proud to say she was one of DSI’s first hires. “I’ve
been with the company since 1999,” she recalls, “and
I wouldn’t trade my job for anything in the world.”
“It’s a blessing to me to get up every morning and
come to work.” That attitude led to Tina being honored with
North Group’s 2006 Spirit Award.
As a Delivery Supervisor for Mattress Discounters, Tina prepares
for the next day’s deliveries, and closes the office. “This
ensures that the drivers, who arrive at the warehouse by 5AM, will
be able to load their trucks and begin deliveries by 6AM.”
“Once they’re on their way, we stay in contact. I keep
track of their route status at all times. Our drivers are like my
kids to me,” she adds.
Tina’s position also involves a lot of customer contact.
She greets customers, keeps them apprised of delivery status, and
helps resolve any issues that crop up. “I’m a people
person and I love every minute of it,” she says.
Tina also conducts business via emails. It’s up to her to
make certain that everyone performs in a timely manner, and in keeping
with company policy. “You might say I do a good deal of multi-tasking,”
she laughs.
The most challenging part of her job is keeping the customer happy
while taking care of the drivers at the same time. “Sometimes
it gets tricky keeping everything in balance.”
“Tina Jones is a tireless associate who is always ready to

Director. “Our client’s management team frequently praises
her ability to provide them with superior customer service.”
Tina intends to maintain her positive attitude and build on her
experience with a goal of becoming an account manager.
Tina’s family, which includes her 7 children and 3 grandchildren,
keep her busy when she’s not at work. Four of her children,
who range in age from 12 to 27 years old, live at home. She is proud
that one of her 5 daughters joined the DSI team 4 1/2 years ago.
Tina loves cooking, and enjoys listening to music and exercising.
