Carlos Prieto, Nathan’s Trucking

Carlos Prieto, owner/operator of Nathan’s Trucking, has always been in the customer service industry and believes it has taught him a valuable lesson. “The customer must come first or you won’t succeed,” he says. Carlos currently delivers for Paul’s TV.

“This can be challenging,” Carlos adds. “Sometimes the customer doesn’t understand that there are liability issues to what we can and can’t do. For instance, while we would like to hang a TV on the wall, we are not allowed to.”

“Instead, we help customers in other ways, such as positioning the TV on the wall for them, so they’ll know where they want it."

“We also move furniture for them. I’m not a decorator, but I try to help any way I can,” he laughs.

Before joining the DSI team about a year ago, Carlos worked as a department head for Orchard Supply Hardware. His uncle, a contractor himself, convinced him to try the delivery business. “I like working with DSI,” he says. “The company shares my philosophy about the importance of customer satisfaction.

“I care about what I do, so it’s important to me to do things right,” Carlos states. “DSI believes in this approach as well. That makes it easy for me to do a good job.” Currently Carlos owns one truck and employs one helper, Jose Martinez, but has plans for expanding, “I’d like purchase a second truck in the future,” he says.

Karen Bustamante, DSI Account Manager at Paul’s TV, says of Carlos, “He values his work, steps in willingly when we need extra help, and always ensures that his customers are satisfied. He really exemplifies ‘Whatever It Takes.’ “

Carlos lives in the San Fernando Valley. He enjoys spending his off hours with his family, which includes his wife and 6 month old son, Nathan. “Now you know how I named my business,” he says proudly.
