DSI Honors First Employees to Reach Ten Year Milestone
Five employees who joined the company in 1998 celebrate their tenth anniversary this year. They are Elia Arias, Account Executive; Georgette Cuellar, Account Manager - Sit ‘n Sleep; Jim Forman, Vice President-General Manager; Cathi Griffin, Assistant Manager-Sleep Train-Mattress Discounters; and Nancy Nava, Assistant Manager-EasyLife Furniture.
To mark this milestone, each employee was given the opportunity to choose one of three gifts: a travel voucher to a destination of their choice, a commemorative watch, or a Disneyland voucher. Each option also includes an American Express gift card. “We want to emphasize that our employees are a valued and integral part of the success of DSI,” delcared President and CEO, Dave Thompson.
Elia Arias, amazed that ten years have passed so quickly, said that “this is a company that treats its employees like family. I want to personally thank Dave Thompson foreverything he has done to promote our welfare.”
Nancy Nava made special mention of DSI’s senior management. “They gave me the opportunity to be part of a company that puts extraordinary emphasis on taking care of its employees. I also want to thank the other DSI mentors who have helped me so unselfishly. Without them, I would not have achieved my professional goals,” she added.
Jim Forman noted that, “it’s been incredibly rewarding to be part of the growth and success of the company. I don’t lnow of another company which matches the pride we take in being a team that truly works together to do “whatever it takes.”
Cathi Griffin added that she is grateful for “the varied experiences she’s had in her DSI career, and the doors that have been opened since joining the team.”
