Noel Fernandez and Miguel Lopez own and operate Noel and Miguel
Trucking. Currently based at Dearden’s in Rancho Cucamonga,
they began driving about four years ago and joined forces as partners
a few years later.
Noel and Miguel Trucking earns high praise for their work from
DSI and Dearden’s. DSI’s Dave Drury calls them quick
to respond, reliable, and easy to work with. “They provide
excellent customer service, and continually exceed the client’s
expectations,” he states. “They are the type of contractors
who make it a ‘win-win’ situation for everyone –
the company, the client, and the contractors themselves.”
Terri Overton, Delivery Solutions’ onsite manager at Dearden’s,
says, “They are dedicated and modest men with high levels
of integrity, who strive to do their best at all times.”
“Recently they volunteered to spend several weeks assisting
a new client in Washington,” she added. “We have a really
good partnership.”
Noel and Miguel believe in teamwork. “Our drivers support
each other,” they report. “We work as a unit, and both
of us stay involved with each delivery.”
“This enables us to continually improve our operation,”
adds Miguel.
Their most challenging deliveries involve apartments, which often
require negotiating long narrow staircases. On the positive side,
every so often there’s a pleasant surprise. Once, after setting
up a
dining room group for a customer, she insisted they sit down at
the table and then served them breakfast. “Unusual,”
the two men laughed, “but very enjoyable.”
The contractors credited DSI with helping them confront rising
gas prices. The company steps in to help maximize their routes,
and has also initiated a fuel card program, enabling them to receive
discounts at the pump.
When not working, both men enjoy spending time with family and
friends.
