 Felipe
Mira, owner/operator of F.A.M.Trucking, and a member of the DSI
team since 2001, is known for his "Whatever It Takes"
attitude. "I take pride in my work, and in taking care of my
customers," he says.
DSI Regional Manager Eric Sais calls Felipe "our 'Go To' guy."
"When we call on Felipe, we know he’ll get the job done,"
he adds.
Currently delivering for Thomasville in Ventura and Santa Barbara
Counties, Felipe believes one of the keys to his success is "hiring
the right people, and then treating them with respect." DSI's
support is also invaluable, he comments. "They encourage us
to succeed," he says, adding, "my personal goal is to
keep on improving my customer service as part of the DSI team."
Felipe remembers one example in particular of going the extra mile.
During the course of a delivery for a customer, Felipe and his helper
moved some furniture in her house as a favor to her. She was so
grateful, he relates, "that she gave me a bear hug that lifted
me off the ground. My helper was so frightened that he ran out of
the house before she could thank him too."
Like all contractors, Felipe worries about rising prices at the
pump, but "good routing helps me save on gas," he says.
He is also proud that his safety record is one of the company's
best. |
