Mayra Rascon, Distribution Center Manager - Dearden's
Mayra
Rascon truly enjoys her job as Distribution Center Manager at Dearden's.
A 37 year employee with the firm, she manages 78 people and makes
certain that "everything runs smoothly on a daily basis."
She conducts customer surveys, stays in contact with drivers, and
supervises the timely completion of repairs and transfers. "There's
more," she laughs, adding, "and it works because I have
terrific bosses and a great staff. We all work as a team."
DSI has been a key part of the Dearden's distribution operation
for eight years. "DSI is always receptive to our needs, and
works with us to find solutions that benefit everyone", she
says.
One of Mayra's priorities concerns driver training. "As new
products arrive, contractors must become knowledgeable about handling
and assembling the new furniture and appliances," she explains.
"This helps ensure successful deliveries and satisfied customers."
Dearden’s and DSI are also working together to implement
"next day" deliveries to augment the present 48 hour system.
"Now that we have our larger warehouse facility, we think we
can improve our service and give customers that option," she
says.
Mayra lives in Orange County and has two "beautiful daughters,
and two even more beautiful grandchildren." She loves to read
novels by Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum. |
