2005 Company Awards Announced
Presentation of the 2005 DSI Achievement Awards highlighted the
company's year-end festivities for both North and South Groups.
Congratulations to the following recipients:
Dick
Connole, 2004's Rookie of the Year, received this
year's top honor, the President's Award. Dick, Account
Executive with Circuit City, Walnut, is "tireless in his efforts
to maintain a smooth operation, take care of the client and their
customers, and embody the values and philosophy of DSI," says
company President Dave Thompson. Dick has since been promoted to
Senior Account Executive heading the Sit 'N Sleep operation.
 North
and South Groups each recognized a new associate whose contributions
provided the most significant impact to the company, earning them
Rookie of the Year. North Group: Eric Garzaro;
South Group: Rudy Flores.
Employees
of the Year were Steve Mulvihill, named in
the North, and Sui Ybarra, named in the South.
Mulvihill and Ybarra demonstrated performance and effort above and
beyond the call of duty, in addition to a commitment to company
success.
 The
Spirit Award for excellence in enthusiasm and team work
went to Cordetina Jones, North, and Jose
Lopez, South.
 Alice
Jones and Karen Colindres won the Flipper
Award in their respective groups, for outstanding achievement
in displaying DSI's core values.
In
appreciation of the staff's dedication and commitment to the client,
Location of the Year went to Sit 'N Sleep.
John Halsbach and Eric Sais accepted
the award for the team.
On
behalf of the Naturwood team,
Account Manager John Porter,
Assistant Account Manager Alice Jones, and
Dispatcher Savonna Haley received the award for
Most Improved Operation. The criteria for this award includes
significant improvement in service and financial performance.
Theresa Samudo Zagala, Jose Lopez,
Arlene De Los Santos, and Carlos Guerrero
all celebrated Five Years with the DSI family.
Following
dinner and the awards ceremonies, both Groups enjoyed a lively Monte
Carlo night and competed for raffle prizes.
