Monisha Brown, Vice President of Operations, Mattress

Vice
President of Operations Monisha Brown has been an integral part
of significant changes at Mattress Gallery since joining the firm
three years ago.
“We have a new warehouse, a new advertising and marketing
director, improved day-to-day operations, and most recently have
acquired a franchise called “Dial-a-Mattress,” she says.
“We also replaced under-performing stores with new ones in
more marketable locations.”
“Everyone working in harmony is the key to our success,”
she adds. “We don’t settle for mediocrity.”
Monisha sees the relationship with DSI as an important component
of Mattress Gallery’s growth. She credits the company with
ensuring the success of their recent Labor Day sales event. “It’s
not just a partnership. It’s more like DSI is another department
in the company.”
“We added our first Delivery Manager, Cooper Gross, to act
as liaison between our two companies. He got the ball rolling with
DSI’s management team to resolve problems and decrease the
number of issues,” Monisha says. Current MG Delivery Manager,
Debra Lopez, teams with DSI’s Karen Colindres to continue
service improvements with the goal of 100% customer satisfaction.
Monisha brings seventeen years of operations experience to her
current position, which involves purchasing, inventory control,
warehouse management, information technology, overseeing all deliveries,
and handling the new franchise.
Monisha lives in southern California and has a twelve-year-old
daughter, “who is wonderful. She completes my life.”
Away from work, she enjoys fishing, camping, and traveling, especially
to India, her native country.
