DSI Delivery Sponsors “Mikey’s Heart” Charity Golf

DSI’s philosophy of giving back to the community has never been closer to home than earlier this year. Living Spaces Account Executive Rudy Flores needed help with a charity event he that he had initiated to enable his two year old nephew, Mikey, to receive a new heart.
The company responded by sponsoring two teams in the first annual Mikey’s Heart Golf Tournament, helping raise over $20,000. ”I can’t thank everyone at DSI enough for their efforts on behalf of Mikey, which contributed greatly to making his surgery possible. ”I’m happy to report that the transplant was successful,” Rudy says, “and that Mikey gets stronger every day.”
In all, fifty-one players participated in the event held at Temecula Creek Inn. Funds from future tournaments will help provide the lifelong supply of medication Mikey needs to support his new heart. |
